EMS Receives New Ambulances From Cranmer Lawrence
1 July 2008
Evolved Medical Services Limited has received the Company’s first directly purchased emergency ambulances from Cranmer Lawrence. The ambulances will join further ambulances due to be delivered shortly from UVM and rapid response vehicles ordered from Volvo and converted by UVM. The new emergency vehicles will enable the Company provide and even better service to patients and provide the best facilities available to our professional and well respected crews.
EMS was founded in 2007 to provide independent sector ambulance services to the public on behalf of the NHS and to private healthcare companies. The Company offers a flexible resource and technical expertise enabling NHS ambulance trusts and other organisations optimise their operational performance and meet increasingly demanding national targets.
As the new national priority of “Call Connect” from April 2008 impacts on performance and reputation, all NHS ambulance trusts will need to increase their operational capacity to meet the new and demanding response time targets. Increasing operational capacity takes time and resources and we in EMS are ready, willing and able to provide the additional capacity now and in an affordable, responsive manner at very short notice.
Philip Sanders, the Chief Executive of EMS has said: “We are delighted to receive our first emergency ambulances from Cranmer Lawrence.
We are committed to high quality emergency ambulance services. The experienced operational team is ex-NHS and the company has built a strong general management, medical, financial and IT team around them. As part of its integrated governance agenda, the company is particularly committed to clinical governance and it is at the heart of all operational activity. New, well designed and constructed ambulances are part of our clinical quality and governance programme.”
